Then and now

Welcome to Bungalowpark De Rietberg in the Veluwe! We are Léon and Jos Freriks, the third generation of a real family business with a rich history and a heart for hospitality.

It all started before World War II, when our grandfather H. Freriks owned the place where our beautiful park now stands. He ran a sawmill here on the forest plot. After the war, lumbering declined and he began to build charming cottages from the remaining wood. In 1947 we began renting out these cozy cottages.

Today our forest plot has grown into a beautiful area of 6 hectares. The old wooden cottages have been replaced by 20 comfortable stone bungalows and 2 modern plastic chalets. Our parents, Henk and Josette, enlarged the park, modernized it and gave it its current appearance.

Now we, Léon and Jos, are taking over the helm with great enthusiasm. We continue the family tradition and look forward to welcoming you for a wonderful stay. Bungalowpark De Rietberg is not just a vacation park; it is our home, and we hope you will feel as much at home here as we do!
